Linda Piera-Avila for City Council

Linda Piera-Avila, candidate for Santa Monica City CouncilLinda Piera-Avila, a longtime member of the Los Angeles Greens, is running for City Council in Santa Monica. I am doing her website for her using Apple's iWeb program. The first four pages are up now at www.linda-piera-avila.org.

Hi Patrick... hope you don't mind my replying to your post on my blog, here on your blog.

My children are not in the public school system yet. But if our schools even come close to following the same "curriculum" as others in places like MA, then my children certainly will be--it's only a matter of time. Teaching kids about marriage is already written into the state's curriculum. If marriage is re-defined to be any two consenting adults that love each other, then naturally, kids will be learning about homosexual relationships as early as 5 years old.

And yes, the court overturned the decision of the voters in May, but that was only a couple weeks before school got out. And now, we've only barely started the school year once again. So, with regard to the teachings in schools, it probably hasn't (luckily) had chance to take effect yet. And I'm not into the idea of doing nothing while sitting back and letting it.

But thanks for your post. How did you find my blog anyway, Mr. Meighan?
